Gefäß wie Husarensäbel M 1776, Klinge wie Säbel für die reitende Artillerie M 1787,
Scheide ähnlich Husarensäbel M 1776, aber durch eine Metallschiene an der
Vorderkante und eine halbrunde Stange am Rücken (auf dem Foto schön zu sehen) verstärkt.

Sind auf der Klinge noch Gravuren zu erkennen?

Super Teil und man kann es sich leicht einprägen mit der markanten Scheide.
Eine Frage hätte ich zu diesem Stück. Ist die Klingenspitze so original?

Yes, the tip of the blade is thypical for the Bosniaksaber.

From what I can understand the Danish Hussarsaber M. 1776 and the M. 1791 was inspiered by the Prussian Hussarsaber M. 1742.
I am interested in an Prussian Hussarsaber M. 1742 as I think it would display well toghter with the M. 1791 Unfortunatly I have been bying a lot of Sabers, Pallasch's, Dussagge/Tessak and staff weapons over the last couple of months and will have to wait before I continue looking for an good Prussian Hussarsaber M. 1742.

The first contemporary drawing below is of an Danish Hussar, note the tip of his saber.
The second drawing is an Danish Bosniak
The third is Danish Hussar's drawn in 1767, note the brass hilted Hussarsaber's. This would be the Hussar saber M. 1761.

Very fine and untouched Danish Hussar Sabre! One of the better ones I have seen.
I think Lime is writing about a different variation of the 1776 sabre. Otto Smith
in 1938 had limited examples available to him and is somewhat outdated today. The
conclusion is that not all Danish sabre's M/1776 are/was identical. This is also
what makes collecting interesting!
